Matthew Wren
Matthew Wren is the founder of VRAR Chicago, whose “The Next Evolution” event series has been connecting and growing the XR community in Chicago since 2017. He has been a virtual and augmented reality enthusiast for over twenty years, supporting clients with VR & AR application development and implementation since 2016. Matthew regularly speaks about immersive technology at events, providing thought leadership on content, strategy, innovation, and the business benefits of virtual and augmented reality. He is the previous Chicago Chapter President of the VR/AR Association. Matt is a technology adviser to Loyola University Chicago’s Ignite Lab for Entrepreneurship, an entrepreneurship advisor to Illinois Institute of Technology’s Kaplan Institute for Innovation, and a Designer/Developer member and mentor at 1871 (the World’s #1 Tech Incubator). In July of 2018, Matt led several local groups to host the first Chicago XR Summit, showcasing 25 Chicago based VR and AR companies to over 300 attendees. Matt was the Founder, President and CTO of BUNDLAR, the world’s first no-code enterprise content management platform for Augmented Reality, which he took from concept in 2018 to functional online platform that in 2022 generated just under $1MM in revenue, supporting customers including Microsoft and the US Air Force. He is also the founder of Origin Development & IT, a technology prototype development company which has supported organizations of all sizes, including Chicago Ideas Week, DePaul University, NBC Universal and more in creating and implementing web, AR, VR, mobile, and technology hardware products and services.

His contributions have inserted Claire’s into cultural conversations, reigniting a new generation of brand loyalists, whom the brand lovingly refers to as Gen Zalpha, and inspiring self-expression and confidence. Duncan is a well-respected leader known for his long track record of successful growth in retail and business-to-business environments and transforming companies into customer-led organizations. Prior to joining Claire’s, Duncan led digital marketing, CRM and analytics for brands including Kohl’s and OfficeMax. He was also the President of Inte Q, a boutique Loyalty and CRM agency located in Chicago, IL. Chris is also the 2023 Winner for Marketer of the Year at AMA Chicago.
