Professional development by marketers, for marketers
Starting February 27, 2023, AMA Chicago is expanding opportunities yet again to deliver career development groups – both led by certified coaches who are marketers themselves. In a small group of peers, you’ll develop career goals, identify your leadership style and build out the next steps in your career.
Professional Development for Early Career Marketers
This group is for marketers late in the first phase of their career, with 3 to 8 years’ experience, who are currently employed. The group is built around gaining insight into strengths, weaknesses and values so that you can create a marketing career that is satisfying to you. Through group and individual work, members will better understand how their preferences make for a fulfilling work experience. It will not be focused on job searching skills.
Registration is $595 and is limited to 15 members.
I wish had access to this type of program earlier in my career. It would have helped me navigate my career more efficiently.Michelle Robin, Brand Your Career
Paula was skilled at creating community among our group of multi-age women in a videoconference format, and managed conversations that were inclusive, supportive and encouraging. Executive Development Group for Experienced Marketers
In this 2-phase group, experienced marketers will hone their leadership skills. In Phase 1, members will complete the Positive Intelligence® program, based on the New York Times bestselling book Positive Intelligence by Shirzad Chamine. In Phase 2, the group will meet every other week for 8 weeks to deepen learning on topics such as stress management, leadership, relationship mastery, and productivity/performance. The group is capped at 12 participants per cohort, with additional options available.

Beryl helped me to see where some unhealthy mindsets were holding me back from envisioning what was really possible for me. As a result, I was able to conquer some of those inner demons and find a role that suited my skills and also provided me with the balance I needed for my family and non-work life.Heather Leonard, Fannie Mae
