The Vice President of Community Programming is responsible for the “monthly” programming and Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and CareerSmart and MarketingTech Smart events. View the complete description.
The Vice President of Communications is responsible for all marketing communications functions for the AMA Chicago chapter. The position reports directly to the President of the Board and manages all director level positions on the committee. The ideal candidate is someone who is a strategist at heart with deep experience managing a communications team of volunteers and has worked with a subscription-based product. The Vice President of Membership Relations is responsible for creating a plan to drive member retention and acquisition. This role reports directly to the President of the Board. This person leads a team of directors and other volunteers. The ideal candidate has the ability to work cross-functionally, the foresight to plan ahead of time and a mindset that requires a combination of creating strategy and executing on initiatives. The Communications Director works closely with the VP, Communications and the Communications team to ensure completion and execution of communication tactics. This position is responsible for maintaining coordination among Communications team members to insure all campaign/promotion messaging is in harmony. The Director of BrandSmart is a high-profile role responsible for leading the successful execution of the AMA Chicago’s premiere annual conference, BrandSmart. The position reports directly to the VP Executive Programming and recruits and manages a committee to plan the conference. The ideal candidate is someone who is a senior marketing leader with conference management experience and has a large industry network that he or s/he can tap into for speakers and committee volunteers. The Director, Volunteer Engagement (formerly called Director, Volunteer Management) is responsible for developing and implementing a plan to drive volunteer recruitment and engagement. This role reports directly to the VP of Membership Relations and oversees several volunteers. The ideal candidate has the ability to lead a team to develop and implement a process to match candidate qualifications with organization needs.
